The Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS) for South Africa is offering a fully funded scholarship for a master’s degree at Swedish universities from September 2018.
The Swedish Institute is a public agency that encourages interest and confidence in Sweden across the world.
They operate in the fields of culture, education, science and business in seeking to strengthen ties and promote development.
The fields of study for this scholarship are:
- Environmental technology/Sustainable development
• Nanotechnology
• Engineering
• Design (industrial design, architecture, urban / regional planning)
• Computer science and IT
• Gender studies
• Public health.
Applicants must apply to a Swedish university through the central application system, where an application fee is charged.
The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) offers support, including advice and payment of the Swedish university application fee to a limited number of potential scholarship applicants.
Applications are open and will close on 15 January 2018.
