First female president of the SRC at SPU

On Tuesday, 30 June 2020, the 2019-2020 SRC at Sol Plaatje University met to elect a new President, as the post was vacant following the departure of the previous president.

Ms Ntesang Makutu was elected by a majority vote and assumed her position from 1 July 2020. She is the first female President of the SRC at SPU in its almost seven years of existence.

The University wishes Ms Makutu success during her tenure as the SRC President.
